Gary:
Dr. Gary Jacobson received his bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College in 1971 where he graduated Cum Laude. He went on to study Chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta , Georgia where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a D.C. degree. In 1985, Gary designed a billing software program for his own office and, after requests from friends and colleagues to obtain a copy, began selling it to local physicians. The popularity of the software prompted him and his brothers to form G.S.R. Systems Inc. and market the software nationally. The venture took off and Gary devoted his energy to the software company full time. GSR is a software company designed for chiropractors and multidisciplinary practices to do in house insurance billing and collection In addition to his programming and executive position with G.S.R. Systems Inc., Dr. Jacobson is also in charge of the IT department at PBS where he oversees the design and implementation of the company's billing software, hardware, client/server applications for the distribution of data to and from clients' offices, and the technical support for clients and staff. He continues to work with his programming department to maintain the relevance of both company's software in the changing Healthcare Industry and the advancement of G.S.R.'s software with innovations to keep it ahead of its competitors.
Steve:
Dr. Steven Jacobson earned his Bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton , Florida . In 1977, he enrolled in Life Chiropractic College in Marietta , Ga , where he graduated with high honors, Summa Cum Laude. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1980, having already received his diplomate from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. While waiting to take the Board in Florida , he remained on at the college as an instructor, where he was well received by the students, faculty and administration. He practiced chiropractic medicine in Florida from 1981-1986. In 1985, he co-founded GSR Systems, Inc. Having sold hundreds of software packages to physicians across the country, Dr. Jacobson retired from private practice to concentrate on his clients, as well as his next business venture, PBS. PBS was co-founded in 1996 , as a result of an overwhelming number of physicians who did not know how to code or document effectively in order to receive appropriate reimbursement from the insurance companies. Today, Dr. Jacobson handles the public relations for many of the clients the company services, as well as helping to bring on new clients. Dr. Jacobson also helps to maintain existing clients, while contributing to the growth of the company.
Ron:
Ronald Jacobson is a graduate of Florida International University . Ronald received a double major in Business and Psychology. He later went on to receive his Masters degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. After graduating college, Ron began working for a national magazine where he was in charge of advertising sales for the east coast. Ron worked at the magazine for three years before helping form GSR Systems, Inc. along with his two brothers. Ten years later with his two brothers and Herb Cane, Ron formed GSR Physician's Billing Service. Ronald brings his unique combination of talents to both companies. His sales and marketing background has helped in structuring the marketing and advertising of the company. Ronald's education in psychology has helped in the creation and maintenance of our human resource department. Ronald, along with his partners has grown both companies to a national level of competition.
Herb:
Herb Cane is a graduate of Brooklyn College . After graduation, Herb began his own clothing business. From 1957 to 1987 Herb remained in this business where he sold and marketed children's clothing around the country. Aside from being one of the partners, Herb was also in charge of sales and merchandising. In the early 1990's Herb became involved in his son's chiropractic office. After seeing the condition of the insurance industry, he realized chiropractors and medical doctors were not maximizing their profits from billing. Herb began attending dozens of insurances seminars and was soon regarded as a national coding expert. Herb began teaching his coding techniques on a national level. In 1996, Herb joined forces with Gary, Steven, and Ron Jacobson of GSR Systems Inc. Together they created GSR Physician's Billing Service. Using his billing and coding knowledge as well as his sales and marketing experience, Herb, along with GSR, began marketing this new billing and collection company throughout the country.
